home again, back again

i was able to spend 10 days in my favorite place on earth; marquette michigan. boyfriend and i spent a long day of travel that proved to be completely worth it. marquette has always been filled with the most beautiful of things – lake superior and fairy tale beaches, the smell of fresh air like no where else, family nestled in log cabins, farmers markets and local art galleries, a plethora of local restaurants varying from cozy cafes to mediterranean to irish pubs and local breweries (including my favorite: blueberry beer), friday night fish fry’s, and the list goes on and on…
traveling back to california was quite possibly the hardest experience of leaving home i have ever had. tears streamed down my cheeks for hours and i stared out the various airplane windows and my insides ached even more.
despite the ache of leaving some place so wonderful, i’m really trying hard to focus on the beauty of where i am and what the lord has in store. i know he is faithful and i know i am perfectly in his peaceful plan right where i am…
